“Great Visitors Center”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

Love the Visitor's Center. It is nice and newly remodeled and staffed with people that know and care about the area. It is a great spot to discover things to do and ask questions to personalize your stay. Mammoth is best in the summer I would say. Not many people visiting up here yet this year. Snow is gone in the Lakes Basin and it is lovely this May of 2013!

“The Mammoth Lakes area is one of the most beautiful areas in the world”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

The Mammoth Lakes area is one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Come to the Visitor's center to review the area great destinations, and decide what you want to do and see.
I love the hiking, the backpacking, and the mountain biking off of Mammoth Mountain. June lake loop, and the hot springs are lovely. The great earthquake fault is fun. While the trail to Devil's postpile is pretty, the actual site is anticlimactic.
The back country is stunning!!!!

Staff was very accommodating when inquiring as to local area attractions. Good location -- on Main Street as you're entering town.
