Been going to Mammoth to ski for 45 years now.. Always has been THE largest ski terrain in the US.. Never a disappointment!!

Backpacking there one summer brought us to see the gorgeous land sans snow!!

Great for family, romantic weekends, a week or two away from life!!

With breathtaking surroundings, Mammoth Mountain resort is a favorite of Californians and neighboring state residents; the drive their is scenic, easy and at freeway speed, or now you can fly in with commercial airline service. The town is cozy and modern with great shops and eateries. As one of the largest and better funded resorts, the terrain is vast and the amenities and staff are top notch, perfect for the beginner or expert. It's world-class operation draws skiers, boarders and romantics from all over the world, which gives the town international personality that adds to the experience. Adult lift tickets are spend-ee and constantly go up, like most everywhere, but Mammoth youth pricing is still a good value, especially when you compare it to the cost of sedentary mechanical rides, long lines and plastic mouse ears. For those of you considering a Mountain resort vacation and have never been to Mammoth - go for it, you won't be disappointed.

Great snow, not crowded, tons of fun runs for all ability levels. Lift tickets are over $100 unless you buy online, in which case you'll save $5. Take the view in and eat at the top, then drop into the Cornice on the way down.
