Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel & Conference Center
Ranked #11 of 14 Hotels in Bethlehem

Well, after the mixed reviews this hotel was given, I was a little concerned about what i was going to be in for. My partner and I wanted to go up to Sands Casino, and wanted an inexpensive place to stay nearby, but wasnt a dump. We went to priceline.com and did the name your own price, picked a 2 1/2 star hotel, and picked the best western at a great price.

The staff was very pleasant at checkin. The lobby seemed a little out dated, and they had thumping music going on at their bar area, nothing major. We asked if we could be placed away from the music, and she said it was no problem at all. We were placed on the second floor and had to walkk up about 12-13 steps because there is no elevator.. No biggie, I have been blessed with no health problems. I can see how it can be a problem with others with health issues. We entered the room, and was suprised. The room was very spacious, king sized bed with a sofa., standard television. The room was clean, except for the bug on the wall. He didn't bother us, so we didn't bother him. The bathroom was clean. The furniture seems like its a little out dated, but generally everything was in working order, and in decent shape. We had all the ementities I would expect. Fridge, microwave, etc. Also, I LOVED having the extra sink outside the bathroom. Makes things very convinent when your partner is in the bathroom. My only complaint was the ice machine. I went to get ice, and had to go to 3 machines around the complex to find one that worked. Overall, we got a great rate on the room, and was pleased with what we got. I would stay here again.

The room was just a little dated...but CLEAN and NICE. Everything in the room was comfortable and relaxing. Nice large refridgerator, microwave, and nice TV. Very nice bar in the hotel with dancing and live entertainment on some nites. Now here's the BAD part. This is a hotel and conference center. It is built in a very large square, so there are 4 sides with an atrium in the middle which is where the pool is. It has 2 floors. So your room can be what seems like miles from the front desk. There are doors to the outside that may be close to your room but there are NO ELEVATORS! My question to the staff was, how can a conference center, where people may stay 7-10 days at a time, and have huge amounts of luggage, have NO ELEVATORS? They said they have people to help you to your room. This made my 2 day stay miserable! I am not young and in good shape. Such nice rooms...such a waste. I will NEVER stay here again!

We selected the Best Western Lehigh Valley Hotel and Conference Center because it is a pet friendly hotel and we were traveling with our Maltese. The room itself was much nicer than we expected and we got a very reasonable price on the hotel's website using our AAA discount. They only charged an extra $10 for our dog. We had a microwave and small refrigerator and there was a Wegmans literally just down the street (less than a mile). The free continental breakfast included danish, cereal, yogurt, bagel, coffee/tea, juice, mini-muffins,etc. We got there right before it closed (open 6:30-10AM) and the pickins were kind of slim but we did not leave hungry.

Our only issue with the room was that the walls were very thin. Granted, we had very inconsiderate neighbors....playing a guitar, slamming the doors, talking in their outside voices, etc. We finally called the front desk at 3AM. Security knocked on their door 10-15 minutes later and some of the partiers disbursed. At that point, the AC fan was enough white noise that we could get to sleep.

My wife and I have attended Musikfest in Bethlehem five out of the last seven years, and have stayed at this hotel every time (the hotel was formerly a Holiday Inn before Best Western took over a few years ago). Each stay has been great, with this year being no exception. Though the hotel is a little dated, our king-sized room was clean and comfortable with a fridge, microwave, and jetted tub. The pool area is also nice, and during the week we felt like we had it almost all to ourselves (though it did get very crowded over the weekend). The restaurant also offers a free continental breakfast, and for $5 you can get a pretty decent hot breakfast buffet. On Wednesdays they also have a Managers Reception with complimentary drinks and appetizers. All in all the price for our room was well in line with everything that the hotel provides. We plan to be back for our next Musikfest!

Clean hotel Nice Big rooms Friendly helpful staff. We were staying over for Musikfest and the staff was so helpful in getting us to the event. The room was spacious and comfy. Didnt get to use the poll but will next time. This place is a good value.
Only downside, unless it was hidden, there was no continental breakfast, only some free coffee at the front desk.

Was traveling from Gettysburg to the Bethlehem area, and found this hotel. Was traveling with two young children, and found this to be a perfect place for them to unwind. There was a restaurant, a lounge, and a rather large outdoor pool. A little pricey for a Best Western, but was worth it. It stayed with the quality that is expected by a Best Western.
