“The Best Tea Room!”
Reviewed January 31, 2012

Granny McCarthys Tea Room is exceptional. We love visiting this Tea Room. Every time we go to Bethlehem, we stop at Donegal Square and Granny McCarthy's. The staff is very accomodating and caring. The food is very Celtic and tasty. Great Fish and Chips, second to none in the Lehigh Valley.

“Delicious Irish Fare and Shopping all in one!”
Reviewed December 22, 2011

I ate here for a late lunch recently with my daughter (8) and a friend. While the restaurant up the street had an hour wait, we were seated immediately here. We each ordered our own pot of tea from the wide selection of flavors on the menu. We have eaten here before, and I think they must change some of the menu offerings seasonally, as my favorite dish was not available. Winter fare was a bit heartier - Shepherd's Pie (although it is made with beef not lamb so technically it is cottage pie), stew, Welsh Rarebit. Our meal was served hot and fresh with fresh warm bread. This place is clean and friendly with genuine staff.
You can stop and purchase some of your favorite Irish and Scottish snacks while you are here.

“always a good meal; the brown bread is awesome”
Reviewed December 5, 2011

We've eaten here before and always had a good meal. Nice Irish food and an extensive collection of tea varieties. Always worth the trip but they often run out of specials in the early evening.

“A touch of the Ireland/Scotland in Bethlehem”
Reviewed December 5, 2011

A great little place with tremendous food & live entertainment. We had a group of 15 + in town for a wedding, & although they did not take reservations were able to accomodate all of us right away without waiting. Food reminded us of our trip to Ireland a few years back & the live Irish music made us feel even more like returning to the lush greenery of the beautiful country side of Ireland. The scotish breakfast was excellent & the tea selection was amazingly diverse. This is a must stop if you are coming to Bethlehem.
