“Wonderful experience”
Reviewed December 14, 2008

My friend and I along just returned from our annual visit to Bethlehem for Christmas. First of all I was very pleased with check in. Our suite was ready early and the staff were both pleasant and professional. The double queen suite was spacious and above all very clean. The beds were very comfortable and came with lots of pillows some of which were soft and some firm so you could have your choice. Breakfast was convenient and plentiful. I especially love their breakfast room as it was large with a fireplace and plenty of seating. Overall this was a great experience.

I stayed here with my son while taking a look at Lehigh University. The hotel seemed new. It is in a business park. The weekend rate in the low 100 seemed reasonable. Would stay again. The school was a 10 minute drive away.

We stayed here a year ago and booked again because we were so happy with the property. However, this year, while the beds are great, the location perfect if your going to a event in Bethlehem, and the price, reasonable, we did find a few minor problems. One was the strong smell of smoke in the hallway - I'm not sure if smokers thought it was ok to smoke in the hallway or if the venting was bringing it in - we could also smell it in our bathroom, but it wasn't as strong. Our particular shower could have used a tightening by a plumber. The carpets are showing some wear in the hallways but not enough to be a big problem yet. Other than these difficulties, we found breakfast was great, the staff very friendly and the rooms are spacious and inviting. Nice bathroom setup. Bennigans is still open and a convenient walk away. Restaurants and gas stations are nearby. Would come back again - just hope the smell of smoke was just from this visit, as I didn't remember this from last year.

We spent one Friday night in Bethlehem and were very pleased with this hotel. The hotel is clean, quiet and the staff is very helpful. Our room was clean, the bed and linens were very comfortable, and the bathroom was a good size with plenty of clean towels and extra toiletries. The front desk clerk was happy to print out a list of local restaurants and highlighted the ones she especially enjoys. We had a substantial breakfast in the dining room the next morning - they had both hot and cold items available. Check out was a breeze. We would stay here again on our next trip.

This hotel is a hidden gem.
I stayed there for three nights with all of my family as we were visting the USA to attend a family wedding. We had five rooms. Booking in was a little haphazard as someone else had booked.
The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff friendly and one or two very amusing, especially Josh and Damien. We were treated well as Brits even though our use of language was sometimes strange.
The housekeeping staff are under strict instructions not to touch your clothes etc. So don't leave anything on the bed otherwise it will not get made up.
There is a small swimming pool, which is welcome during August.
Dining establishments are just a short walk away, with a bar doing specials on food and beer at $2.50 per US pint.
If you travel by air, the hotel will pick you up from the airport.
Given the close proximity of the airport I did not notice any loud aircraft noise, however there were some 'hot-rodders' on the local highway at about 1am, but I just closed the window and switched the AC on.
Buffet breakfast was basic with plastic cutlery and plates but the coffee was good along with scrambled eggs, omelette, bacon, cereal, toast, bagels, juice, muffins (English and regular) etc etc.
The best thing about the hotel was that you get all that for $109 or £55 per room per night. What a bargin.
Excellent value, excellent service, good location. I would stay there again.

The good: Beautiful suites--large and comfortable, lots of light, great beds, studio couch the usual (uncomfortable), beautiful breakfast area and decent food. The business center has two computers and a printer.

The really bad: Across the street from the hotel is a large Sheetz gas station/convenience store which is apparently a hangout for the local teenage boys. All night Friday and Saturday, they were drag racing right in front of the hotel, with their bass booming from their cars. The first night, I was awakened but eventually went back to sleep. The second night, it was so bad, that I went to the lobby at 1:30 AM to see if I could change rooms. The desk clerk had called the police after another person complained, but although the noise stopped briefly, it continued on until 3:30 AM!!!

The other bad thing is that the third floor is half smoking, half non smoking rooms. When we checked into our non smoking room, the entire hallway reeked of smoke. Our room was smoke free, but it was very unpleasant walking down the hall to the elevator.

SO, because this is such a nice facility with beautiful rooms and dining area, I would stay here again BUT make sure you request a room on the first or second floor if you are a non-smoker AND make sure your room is in the back of the hotel which I think means you can't get a suite. I am not positive that you wouldn't hear the drag racing from the back rooms, but I think the manager would tell you the truth if you asked.

  • Liked — spacious rooms, beautiful decor, lovely breakfast room and business center
  • Disliked — drag racing in front of hotel all night!

I've stayed at this hotel the past couple of weekends. It's a wonderful hotel and well worth the price. You can tell it's a new hotel and the staff are very nice. In the evening they have free cookies and 24 hour coffee. The breakfast includes hot items as well as general continential fare. I never heard noises from the hallway or adjacent room.

One great perk is that the parking is so close to the hotel. I have a sprained ankle, so this was very nice. It's also close to a few restaurants including a great chinese takeout place.

If I had to come up with downsides, I would say that the rooms don't have refrigerators or microwaves.
