You have to love this place for what it is: A simple, local hangout that has been around for at least 40 years. If it was located in NYC, this would be the late night dive bar that hipsters and the after hours crowd would be flocking to. It is dark. It is cozy. There's usually good music playing and a few TVs showing sports. The food and drinks are all reasonably priced. They have a very good selection of beer (probably 30+ in bottle) in addition to a dozen or so on tap. They make a good cocktail. The menu is small, typical bar food offerings. Their burgers and chicken sandwich are very good. Dare I say excellent at 1:00 AM? And, contrary to another review, I kinda think its cool that my bartender goes over to the grill and cooks my burger while he or she are slinging drinks. The crowd is authentic. Most are regulars, and even as an outsider when I visit a couple of times each year, I inevitably get drawn into some fun conversation at the bar. I'm a foodie and I love a high-end five star meal. However, sometimes, it's just perfect to shut it down and enjoy a cold one with some nice people. Beef Baron does that perfectly.
