As a business man, I need to stay connected to my office and home via email (multiple addresses) and being able to connect to our office server...through the comfort of my own room, and not needing to go down to the business center. If you prefer to not have these things, then might be the place for you. Just because this is a historic hotel, there is no reason to have "limited internet/email access". Their IT must be living in the 1800's when this place was built. I'm forced to go down to the local coffee shop (where they have actual free internet access) to download my emails to my laptop.

I should have stayed elsewhere, and will on future trips.

We have several Fortune 500 companies that stay with us and utilize our internet service day and night. We greatly appreciate your feedback. It has helped us to ensure that it does not occur again in the future. Please contact our GM Dennis Costello if you wish to review this further.

This hotel has the feel of a big city hotel, located in the small town of Bethlehem PA. I stayed there for business, due to an ice storm. While the property is old, it still retains a quality of an elegance of a bygone era. I was upgraded to a corner room. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom well stocked, and the room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Only two small negatives - the rooms are not very soundproofed - and the night I was there, the hotel appeared to be quite empty. Had it been full, this lack of soundproofing might have been a problem. The other negative was the TVs are pretty old, and require replacing - the picture is dark and difficult to see. However, those two negatives are quire minor. The staff, overall, was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this to those staying the Lehigh Valley. It is one of the only hotels in the area with several restaurants and bars within walking distance to the hotel!

We stayed at the Hotel for my birthday and it was wonderful. The room we originally wanted was not available at the time so they upgraded us and gave us drinks at the bar. When we got to the room it was a corner suite. Very cozy and nice. loved the views from the room. It was snowing so it even made it sweeter. The coffee and tea in the room was so good. The best night sleep I ever had. Can't wait to go back and explore the town more when it's not so cold.

Loved the place. Check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast at Restaurant
excellent with B&B type choices (gourment items, etc.). Great place would definitely return! Large casino a few miles down the road with great restaurants (i.e. Emeril, etc.) too! 24 Hour Room Service is an added bonus.

The hotel was very nice. Christmas decor was still up and was beautiful. Nice bar and breakfast served. We also enjoyed the delicious buffet. Nice shopping on the street it's on. The sands casino was close by and the hotel provides shuttle service. The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. We would definitel stay there again.

One of the most beautiful hotels in the Lehigh Valley. Very historic, elegant, and charming. The best location and views. The Sunday brunch was wonderful, but the room service was expensive (although very good). The only noise you can hear from your room is a faint train in the distance at night, so street noise wasn't really an issue

CONS:
Reluctance to seat me for dining, I was alone (and it was Christmas)
Dangerous to walk from parking garage to entrance; no safeguards, broken curbs, blind corner.
No Doormen, at Handicapped access door
No Porters to help with luggage, none even offered (and I use a cane)
Cash customers frowned on by male front desk clerk - wants to copy Drv Lic. [ no way! ]
Alarm Clock did not work, missed a breakfast meet
TV was very dark, hard to see several channels (Technician said they're getting LCDs)
Thin Walls: heard neighbors hanging up their things, heard people in hallway
One shifty Bartender > be sure to get your bill - before paying. [ I reported him.]

PROS:
Very Clean, nice room
Comfortable bed
Attractive, Historic building and interior
Centrally located in heart of town/ historic district
Good food
Good price for room
AAA discount accepted
Polite, friendly dining hostess - Francoise. [who did seat me for dining]

TOWN is lovely, very historic, walkable.
While talking a walk, I met a lady who grew up there and became a college professor. She told me all about the town's history.

In-TOWN policy allows only a candle in each window for outside holiday lighting, which makes the town look serene and authentic; no 'Griswald' houses here.
