“A wonderful place for a wedding!”
Reviewed August 25, 2011

My family and I stayed here in June for a wedding held at the hotel. We had never been to Bethlehem before, and the staff there was beyond helpful with our needs. When we called to make reservations the young man we spoke with us not only made a reservation for us, but also gave us a list of restaurants in the area and things our children could do while we were in Bethlehem. I was very surprised to see how nice the hotel was, it is absolutely beautiful for a historic hotel. The rooms were very clean, a little small, but that was expected with it being an old hotel. The staff was great from checking in, to the turn down service we received nightly! (The chocolate on the pilliow was a great touch!) The wedding was one of the best times I ever had, and the hotel was perfect in every way for it. The downtown area is very pretty with a lot of fun shops around. I know that we will definitely be returning in December to see their Christmas decorations. We had a wonderful stay, and can't wait for our next one!

Thank you! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and the wedding you attened. We take great pride in our Hotel and our wonderful Staff. We are looking forward to your next stay with us during Christmas. We will be completely decorated by Thanksgiving! Make sure you get a Christmas Brochure at the front desk when you arrive. It will take you on a self guided tour of the Hotel's decorations

Stayed at Hotel Bethlehem August 11 with a group of high school friends during the last weekend of Musikfest. Had a wonderful time, the hotel staff was courtesy and attentive. The room was extremely clean and up to date. We enjoyed all of the different entertainment they had during the festival, and will definitely be back! Being able to park in the middle of downtown during Musikfest was more than helpful, the front desk staff, Bryn, was very helpful and more than accommodating when we needed directions to find things downtown. It was a great stay, and we definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a nice view of Bethlehem

An historic hotel with a great location. The hotel has lovely details everywhere you turn, from the lobby, to the bathrooms, to the rooms themselves.
The staff was incredibly helpful, even with some bizarre requests my friends made during our stay. They were patient, took their time, and went out of their way to try to solve their problem (which had nothing to do with the hotel).
I smiled at all the classy details in the bathroom, although you do sacrifice counter space and other chain-hotel conveniences for such charm. It is certainly worth it though.

The location is also fantastic, with so many shops and restaurants right down the street. A great homebase for Bethlehem and the rest of the Lehigh Valley!

Room Tip: See if you can get something facing away from the street so you can see the valley.

Great old style classical hotel will all modern functionality. Have stayed here a few times and have enjoyed it every time. Food also very good, albeit service at breakfast can be a little slow. Traditional rooms with very comfortable beds

We have stayed at Hotel Bethlehem each of the 26 years that we have attended Musikfest, excluding 2 years when the hotel was closed in the late 1980s. We are so thankful that the hotel was reopened! The transformation in the past 26 years has been wonderful. As with any historic hotel, there is a need for consistent updating. And of course, there are still updates that need to be made (the doors in some rooms are showing their age, flat screen televisions, etc.) It all takes time! The rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable, the people are fantastic! Try to schedule an appointment with Natalie Bock, the hotel historian. The hotel's murals are wonderful, the tiles in the 1741 Terrace Room are beautiful (as is the room itself!) And make sure to visit God's Acres, the cemetery near the Moravian Church. It's so interesting to read the grave markers of not only the Moravian brothers and sisters (some dating to the mid 1700s) but also the Native Americans. This alone is a history lesson! We've spent hours here over the years reading the stones! Staying at Hotel Bethlehem really is an annual tradition for us!

This is a lovely Historic Hotel in down town Bethlehem. The feel of the hotel is restored in keeping with the turn of the century, rooms were nice and well stocked bathroom, individual coffee maker, comfortable bed. Breakfast was included and very good choices, no rush, attentive service. Since it is right on main street, you can walk to all the shops, but they do charge $5 for parking (?? just include it in price, seems kind of petty). We were there during Musakfest and be warned that driving in and out is a problem as they close the street off and the people don't move out of the way. One night we had to wait about 30 mins as the police were getting the people out of the fest onto Main St so we could not get 1/2 a block to our Hotel until they let us, so you may want to reconsider staying here during fest time if you plan to use your car.

We recently stayed at Hotel Bethlehem and it was amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, even during a very busy weekend with 2 weddings going on. The location is great - it's right in the heart of the historic downtown. There's lots to do within walking distance from the hotel - museums, shopping, art, cafes, etc. I highly recommend the Hotel Bethlehem. It was a fantastic stay.
