This is a mixed review because there are some hits and misses. The hits: it's a new, modern looking hotel with some great modern amenities such as the large flat screen TV's with HD channels. Service was very friendly and efficient. The king bed was very comfortable. And the location is the big plus -- attached to modern casino, easy walking distance to Artsfest / Musicfest, and surrounded by the history of the Bethlehem Steel complex. However there are some clear opportunities for improvement, especially given the resort-like weekend rates. The rooms are large but the furnishings are sparse -- no table, no mini-fridge, just one chair. Breakfast was not fitting a hotel that is trying to be higher class /higher price, and it was picked empty (including the coffee) by 10:40 despite claiming hours until 11:00. This facility and location have a lot of promise, the casino itself was a great experience, but the hotel does not deliver enough to be given a top rating.

Who knew! As we were looking for this place I kept saying we must have missed a turn because all I see is an abandoned plant/distillery, but then the sign appeared. SANDS CASINO & RESORT. We turned in and WOW. We stayed in the uber modern hotel and me being a hotel snob was quite pleased! Very impressed with the decor and contemporary feel. Totally felt like I was in a 5 star property. If you have the loot to get a suite - may I say gorgeous! We stayed in a regular room, but attended a bday party in one of the suites. As for the casino I guess its pretty cool, but I don't gamble. We ate at the food court area. Aside from being expensive the food was pretty good. Didn't have a chance to check out any of the restaurants.

Our company put us up here for a business meeting. It was wonderful The rooms are beautiful. We arrived by noon and there was no fuss with an early check in. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. Unlike casinos in Las Vegas.. they have three computers to use in the lobby for printing boarding passes or anything else you may need. Great continental breakfast. Casino is nice. Would recommend it to anyone as a weekend getaway as it was really nice.

We decided to visit Bethlehem, PA and reserved a room at Sands. They no longer have the conventional counters for one to check in. Instead, they have courtesy desks with beautiful, young ladies who were also very professional yet friendly. The lobby did not impress us much. There was obvious construction going on on the side of the hotel. I believe a mall will be open there soon. Parking was not a problem, there was plenty of it and without charge. Our room was very cozy, big, comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast the next morning was plentiful. It was a real pleasure to see a "real" breakfast rather than the traditional continental with just muffins and coffee. Not only was it plentiful and included in the price, but they also gave you if you wanted, a little container to take with you in case you did not eat it all. All the muffins and fruit were delicious. The dining room was very clean and big. It was really a pleasure to have stayed at the Sands. As for the casino, we were really shocked to realize that the reviews we read before going, really did not coincide with what we saw. Yes, there were Oriental people there. But no, they were not in your face or obnoxious. On the contrary, they kept to themselves. The restaurants were a great treat. We do not smoke and yet did not feel that the smoke "came out to the parking lot" as many reviewers wrote. It was an overall very pleasant stay and we would definitely do it again!

The hotel need better organization the main entrance is on the side of the building and very awkward. We had to wait for our room iot was past 4 PM but they did give us a $50 voucher for food. It has potential ...to be honest went to Mt Airy in Feb and liked the casino better
