We have been to the NY location a number of times. This ain't it. The pickles and Cel-ray soda were there, and the portions huge. That's where the comparison stops. The corned beef and pastrami were overly lean, ie dry. You say lean is good? Not on a corned beef or pastrami sandwich! This ain't the place you go to diet! What really turned us off was the bread was stale.....no fresh rye bread on a corned beef or pastrami sandwich is fatal. Decent potato salad that could have used a little more flavor, like a dash of vinegar. The potato pancake was, like everything else, huge, but it was leaden. Bigger is not always better. We shared a very good piece of NY Style strawberry cheesecake, which was the best thing we had. If you are impressed with quantity alone and like size of portion shock value, this is your place. If it is a top quality NY deli sandwich and classic potato pancakes you are seeking, this is not your place. We won't go back.

The sandwiches were big and mostly tasty but the prices were way too high. They should offer smaller portions for less cost. I won't go back.

Just plain and simple....get the hot pastrami sandwich. It's the best around (besides the "other" Carnegie Deli in NYC). I've eaten here about 3 times and have not been disappointed. The fresh made onion rings are a winner too! Crispy and freshly made! If you visit on a weekend, expect to wait during peak times. If you can, eat here in between lunch and dinner, it may be easier to get seated. Enjoy!

With some of the old famous NYC delis gone, it is good to see one of my all time favorites still serving up my favorite hot pastrami sandwich with a potato pancake. Yummy to say the least. If you like a terrific deli than this is your place.

I love a good New York Deli. This is not it. Atmosphere is boring and service was slow. Possibly the worst corned beef sandwich i have ever had. Large sandwich but absolutely no taste. Must have soaked the beef in water, not brine. On the plus side, you can get a Dr. Brown's soda
