“Good food but not service”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

While staying at the Sands, we went here for dinner one night. The food was very good, but our waiter was a little odd. We went to order a specific type of red wine, and our server flat out told us that HE didn't like that wine, and then suggested a white wine. We hadn't even ordered food, yet, so it wasn't like he was making the suggestion of a different color of wine based on what we were eating. When we insisted we wanted what we ordered, he got all flustered and basically ignored us the rest of the time we were in the restaurant, even though he came by frequently to check on the other two tables next to us.

“Excellent food!”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

Irish food - fish and chips. EXCELLENT! been here both times I came to Sands Casino. Service is quick and prompt. Appetizer was very good (got mussels once and spinach dip second time) Fish and chips was very tasty with the vinegar. Second time got shepherds pie which came delicious.
Overall would definitely come back!

“Comfort foods in a comfortable Pub”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

This Irish themed pub connected to the Sands Casino in Bethlehem PA. We celebrated a 50th birthday with 12 seating in the bar area. Decent martinis, Irish beer selections and wines. On site manager very helpful with assisting our large group. Homemade potato chips, a favorite by our large party. Side salads tasty, typical pub food, hamburgers with a variety of toppings, bangers, fish tacos. Comfort foods in a comfortable environment.

“Great Irish food and pub fare”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

We have eaten at St James Gate twice during two separate visits to the Sands. Both outings were fun, with good tasty food and very good service. One visit we ate in the restaurant and one visit we ate at the bar. Both times the Pub was busy but this did not impact the friendly, helpful service. We will eat there again on our next visit.
