While sending the night at the Sands with friends, we decided to try the pub. It was busy for a Wednesday night. So there was a wait of about 45 minutes. No problem. My friend and I sat at the bar. Our wives sat at a bar table. The fellas drank scotch and beers, watched ESPN on the tv and had a great time. The bartender was great--very friendly. And so was the assistant manager. They helped make the time pass.

We sat down and were all ready to eat. A big plate of onion rings for the table was a great start. We all opted for burgers. I had the pub burger, which comes topped with chili and cheese. I never thought it would be possible to have that on a burger without it spilling all over after the first bite. But it stayed nice and neat, and delicious.

So if you're looking for a relaxing place to have good food and drinks, check it out.

We ate here during our visit to Sands. Typical Irish fare, well done. I had Irish Grilled Cheese and my husband had a chicken dish. Both were very tasty; portions are quite large. Irish coffee is not to be missed, prepared tableside using French Press and topped with homemade Irish Cream (basically thick clotted cream infused with whiskey, not the bottled liquid stuff). The waiters are very friendly and even though the food comes out pretty quickly, they don't rush you at all. At night it gets crowded because around 9 PM they have live music. We had dinner early, then came back and sat at the bar for the music and another round of Irish coffee.

NOTE: This is a good option if you are particularly sensitive to smoke, but still want to enjoy some music and drinks in the evening while you're at Sands. Molten Lodge allows smoking, but St. James is smoke free even at the bar.

Was very excited to eat here. If you like Traditional Irish-American fare or are just looking to grab some drinks and lite pub food this is the place to go. Our server Daniel Was Great! He was so friendly and had great Recommendations of the menu. I can't wait to go back and try the other items. Would definetly return and I've been to many Irish Themed Pubs all over the East Coast.

The meal started out great with excellent soup and appetizers. But the beef was disappointing. not the quality we expected. Service was good. If we went again, it would only be for drinks and appetizers.

Qualified for comp dinner at the St. James Gate in the Sands Casino. Even though comp was a limited menu, the huge grilled chicken and bacon sandwich, appetizer and dessert was delicious. Great atmosphere too!
