If you are a waterfall junkie like I am then this is not the place for you. It took almost 30 minutes just to stand in line to pay the in-park fee of $12.00/person. The fee is not the problem because I never mind paying to see something magnificient, but $12 to see a very average waterfall was 3x more than it should have been. The place was packed. We rented a car, booked a room, and drove 3 hours so that we could check it off our 'waterfalls to see bucket list,' but it was a waste of time and money. My advice for great waterfall viewing is go to Falling Spring and Blackwater Falls in VA & WVA; Looking Glass Falls, Rainbow Falls, and Dry Falls in NC. There are other good ones, but these are a few that are worth the effort.

Awesome if you like the outdoors and the weather isn't too warm. The $12.50 entrance for adults is definitely worth it. Won't regret since they have various trails that can take you from 15 min to 2 - 2.5 hrs depending on your stamina. American beauty at some of its best.... :)

I visited Bushkill Falls yesterday. It was a great day for a hiking because the sun was shining but there was still a breeze in the air. There are different trials to go on, red being the highest and filled with the most sights, which I highly recommend. There are some steep climbs but definitely not hard considering your in good health. The red trail is the trail in which you can see all of the waterfalls from various angles. Bring your camera because there are definitely some great photo opportunities. Aside from the hiking, which is the best thing to do there, they have paddleboats, fishing, and a playground. The only thing I would stay away from is the icecream shop if your in a rush. The line was very long and it took forever because they were very slow behind the counter.

We spent the day this past Tuesday at Bushkill falls and hiked the rugged red trail, it is simply beautiful, and not just the falls. There are various types of naturally growing ferns, moss, rhododendron and other plant species to see. We did leave the trail a bit and found tranquil spots to sit, be still and meditate. Simply put this is a great way to spend the day with loved ones, and nature. There is no cell phone reception, no way to be distracted other than yourself, so relax and get ready to connect. I had not been to the falls since I was a small boy, as an adult I loved them just the same. Bring water and a hiking stick. This is a day well spent.

Spent Monday afternoon at Bushkill Falls. Beautiful woods, waterfalls and hiking trails. There are 4 levels of trails. We opted for the red trail (most rugged). It took us 3 hours to do the trail. There ate 4 levels of trails,....easy, low medium, high medium, and tough. the red trails offers Excellent cardio vascular and lower body workout. Lots of rocks, tree roots, and stairs to climb. Red trail Not recommended for the timid or out of shape hiker. But if you have the time, and strength, I highly recommend it. Note....there are no out houses, portapotties on the trail. Use the restroom before you start.
Also note, this is private property, so there is a fee. If you want to see free waterfalls and hiking, go 25 miles up,the road to Dingmans Falls. This is federal park land, no charge, free.
