Bushkill Falls, and Dingmans Falls when it was open, are two of NE Pennsylvania's natural wonders. The spray of the water, the paths through the woods, birds, butterflies, wildflowers, and the peace and quiet of walking through nature is very soothing for your soul.

Beautiful paid self guided hiking trail with breathtaking views of the area and about 7 or 8 waterfalls. Picnic area with grills and playground & activities for children.

I have given Bushkill Falls an "Excellent" rating because I loved how close you could get to the various waterfalls and yes...from more than one angle as well. Thus many photo angles and opportunities abound for photo enthusiasts or for those who want to add to their Facebook page.
OK...potentially helpful info.: The final road leading to this attraction has a couple of billboards to reassure you , but the actual entrance driveway is marked in a low key way...careful not to drive right past it. The parking is free. Be sure to use the bathroom before entering the natural beauty....once you've handed in your ticket(s) there are no bathroom facilities....none. Adults are $11 no matter what trail you choose. So the price is the same whether you take "The Green Trail(15 minutes),"The Yellow Trail"(45 minutes)"The Blue Trail"(1 hr. 15 minutes) or "The Red Trail"(2 hrs. to 2.5 hrs.). The trails are well marked by colored squares that have been placed on the trees. They appear often and if there is a fork, those points are always marked well. You can start on "The Red Trail" as well did, and then switch over to another trail. My family of three followed the Red Trail for around 50 minutes...we noticed that there was a location where we could switch over to the Blue Trail and we did so. Afterward you return to the campus of buildings there is a snack bar with hot and cold choices. The french fries were crispy salty..mmm good. there is more than one shopping building. We liked the store that was farther than the one connected to the gift shop....head beyond that one ...head toward the restrooms...you'll see it. Oh, back to the waterfalls....it can feel colder...breezier right at the waterfalls....check the weather and minus a few dregrees in your head.. you know what I mean?

An excellent outdoor attraction for all ages. I arrived at 9am just as they were opening. The admission prices were very reasonable; however, there are no discounts for AAA members. I recommend getting to the ticket booth early as I noticed a long line and a full parking lot when I returned to the visitors center around 11am.

That said, the trails, in my opinion, were fairly easy to navigate. I don't recommend purchasing a $2 map as the brochure I used was more than adequate. Moreover, the trails are well marked. I chose the red trail in order to view all eight waterfalls. Definitely some climbing and hiking involved but if you're in reasonably good shape the red trail shouldn't be to challenging. Besides, the views are well worth the effort. Bridal Veil Falls is not to be missed.

I was also impressed with the visitors center and gift shop. The staff were very courteous. Judging from their friendliness and cleanliness of the grounds, they take great pride in welcoming visitors. Drop by for a visit sometime. Bring the family. You won't be disappointed.
