The food was great but very pricey, $12.99 for a hamburger? And the would cook them only one way. Done! Service was slow but our waitress was very good. Very busy place, lots of foreign tourists and many different languages spoken here. The cooks did a good job considering the crowds.

The 49ers Cafe serves standard American food. Service was friendly and helpful and recommended the local beer which was tasty. Prices were ok. For such a remote location we were satisfied, however in a city this restaurant wouldn't be our choice.

Good choice of food, relaxed atmosphere, good choice of drinks and good value for money. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.

We ate at the Forty-Niner both nights that we stayed at Furnace Creek Ranch. We wanted something a little more than available at the Saloon and something less than available at the buffet, so our options were limited. The Forty-Niner proved to be a good choice. Food was tasty and served in decent portions. Service was very good, although the waiter was somewhat unique. Prices seem a little high for what you get, but I guess that can be expected in the middle of Death Valley with limited choices available. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Having had a bad lunch at the salon this was great. Don't go here for pizza the salon is the only one that does them though they looked the same kitchen. Enjoyed salads and burgers and wine all OK considering no where else to go!
