“Well worth the drive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

Although a dirt track road it was well worth driving to give you a sense of what it must have been like with the early pioneers, they must have been extremely hardy.
There are a few places you can stop for a hike but as the temperature was peaking at 118f we were advised against it.

“A little disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

We did all the other attractions in the area and were a little disappointed in this one. The rock formations were nothing special

“Twenty mule team canyon”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2014

A dirt road with some great scenery. Go ahead and pull over in an area where you can get off the road and go exploring. It's interesting to see the makeup of the rock formations and what things look like from their vantage point. A great side trip off the road that puts you up close and personal. Love the sign as you enter the canyon...you'll see!

“Worth it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

The trip through this one way loop is spectacular. So many different sights and colors. Glad I was in a car and not on a stagecoach of one of the mule trains... some areas were steep. Loved it! I loved this loop more than anything in the park.

“If you have one day, pass on this canyon”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2014

I spent five days hiking and touring Death Valley. The drive through Twenty Mule Team Canyon is not as inspiring as some of the other areas of Death Valley. If you only have one day, travel to Zabriskie Point and Dante's View first and possibly visit the Harmony Borax Works, Salt Creek Trail and Badwater Basin which I feel are more interesting.
