On line we purchased two seats, then another family member wanted to go and sit with us, at the time there were two seats next to us, but they would not break them up. So we paid for 3 seats but we had to lift the arm rests between us and 3 of us sat in 2 seats. She did have the option of sitting far away from us, but if they had allowed her on line to purchase the seat she wanted, all would have been ok. Beware of an odd number of people in your party. Buy your seats way ahead at the box office. Otherwise 3 adults will be squeezing into 2 seats, and nothing given in return for the uncomfortable nature. Full price for 3 with only access to 2 seats.

Yes, the seats recline - and they're reasonably large and comfortable. Yes, it offers all the candies, popcorn etc. any major chain offers. But here's why people stay at home, rather than going out to spend the equivalent of more than a month of Netflix or Amazon Prime. Note that this is our local movie house, and we've been numerous times.
1. We've always complained about the loudness. The shifts in volume are enormous, no matter which room you're in - but interestingly, the Regal Cinemas ads are always the loudest. The past couple of times, I brought earplugs for our nieces and nephews, because the children's films are deafening. With 30% of Americans now suffering hearing loss that's almost all noise-related, this is inexcusable, and a lawsuit waiting to happen.
2. When you complain about anything, from the loudness to a problem with the bathrooms, there are plenty of young people happy to find a manager. If they can find a manager.
3. We went to see Widows when it opened, and Regal are trying something new. Show was at 3.45. We arrived at 3.30 so we could see previews. Instead, for half an hour - that's correct, thirty minutes - we were treated to advertisements for Regal's new app, "noovie". We saw ads for it by various cartoon characters, we saw the same ads three times, and over and over again, we saw the app being played - only the app, not the person playing it - and were told we could connect on Facebook and "impress our friends".
At 4 pm, we finally saw four or five very short previews. So the actual film began 30 minutes after it was supposed to start, the previews began 15 minutes after they were supposed to start, and the whole thing put us off Regal yet again.
4. Their much-touted "Regal Crown Club", which you can join, free of charge, and basically get the occasional soda or small popcorn. Nope, you can't get a bottle of water with your points. Nope, you can't get candy. Just a small soda or popcorn.
We've been through it ourselves, so we were happy to see another couple who'd forgotten their card ask the teller to look it up under their phone number, and finally give up. Apparently, unless you have your card or card number with you, they can't find it and you're out of luck. Did the teller call a manager eventually? Yes. Were they given any consideration because the computer couldn't locate their phone, address, or name? No. Not even a small soda.
If Regal really want to compete, offer bulk ticket purchases to something other than corporations. Offer family discount days (they do, in fairness, offer senior discounts.) Get better management. Offer promotions that aren't just for posters (how old-school is that? and they're not even retro.)
I'm not sure why so many people give this theater five star reviews solely because the seats recline. I am sure that for all of the above reasons, we're staying home.
By the way. I've been three times since last August, it's now November, and my Crown account still only shows one visit, in August. The last time was two days ago, and the credit's still not there. The only way to add a credit from the receipt (must be within seven days) is to have a receipt showing you'd forgotten your card, with CREDIT CLAIM CODE on the receipt. There's no contact information on their website.
So much for that.

Theater seems fine. Our movie wasn’t in a large room and the recliners weren’t adjustable/automatic. But still, recliners! Everything else was on par with my usual theater back home.

I'm new in the area...went to this theatre to check out a new movie release. I like the service at the ticket booth and inside snacks...but...the lobby truly need an upgrade. The comfort of the theatre is good.
