Dear Deb, I am so glad you had a good time during your trip to the beaches and the outlet mall! We are working on a special package with Ellenton Premium Outlets, so you might want to look for that if you come back to visit us again in the future! Andrea
Having a long flight from London to Tampa on 30th August we did not relish a late night drive to Sanibel Island. I tried to book a hotel for the night at any Tampa airport hotel. However, due to the Republican Convention being held in the city, rooms were almost impossible to get. I decided to try and book a motel close to the I75 and about an hours drive out of Tampa. Having found the Bradenton Econolodge on the net I checked several review sites and was found that just about everybody who posted said their experience was good. I booked a room for one night and have to agree with other reviewers that this motel is convenient, clean and has very pleasant helpful staff. There are several eating places located within easy walking distance of it which was a great help to us when we arrived late. We didn't have time to try out the pool area but from what we saw it was very clean, tidy and did look inviting. Having paid something around 30 pounds for a double room including a breakfast of coffee and muffins I think this motel represents excellent value for money . I would have no hesitation in staying there again and would certainly recommend it to friends and family.
Hi HMSHood! I am happy that you were pleasantly surprised. Unpleasant surprises when you travel are no fun. We try our best to provide a nice clean room for a low price. Thanks for taking the time to write a review! We hope to see you again in the future! Andrea
The hotel is very simple. It was very clean. It also was close to the Manatee beach,,and surrounded by restaurants you could walk to. I reccomend this hotel. Let's see,,Cracker Barrell,Sonnys BBQ, Waffle House,McDonalds,,both are 24 Hrs. Long John Silvers & KFC,Wendys,,and 2 miles down 64,,,Apple Bees,,OutBack,,and many more to mention. The pool was small,,but very well maintained. We paid $45.00 a night. This is a deal!!! :)
Hi Raider2you! I'm glad your wife was happy with the beds. We have purchased one more set of beds to upgrade the last few rooms which had hard beds, which probably would have made your wife cranky. We hope to see you and your wife again in the future! Andrea
The owners have done a great job updating the property. The rooms are alway immaculate as are the grounds. It is small and an older building, but I have stayed there a dozen times and have never been anything other than very happy.
No restaurant, so no room service, but there are ample restaurants close by, some within walking distance.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review! We are making a bunch of changes here, so life should be good when you return! Andrea
We were greeted by Jeff when we checked in. He was very personable, and he relieved my concern about us being charged if we found it necessary to cancel our second night due to impending Tropical Storm Isaac. Our room was clean and neat for an older establishment, and we appreciated the convenience of a small microwave and refrigerator in the room. The mattress was very firm (not a problem for us, but perhaps so for some). The two drawbacks were no exhaust fan in the bathroom (had to open window when showering) and the lack of extra pillows, alarm clock, hair dryer, iron, and ironing board (which were available by making a trip to the office). There was a stand-up continental breakfast (packaged bagels and muffins, coffee, and orange juice) in the small lobby. The hotel, located in a safe area near I-75 and various restaurants, had an outdoor pool. The rooms open to the outdoors, not an interior corridor, and there is not an elevator for 2nd floor rooms. Not planning to spend much time in the room, we were well satisfied with this clean, comfortable hotel at such a reasonable price.
we stayed here last year before moving to the area. we are now getting married and I like this hotel, and the staff so much that I am going to recommend to my family visiting from PA to book here.
