We arrived in Bradenton not for leisure or business, but to say goodbye to my dying MIL. First room we had, there was no a/c. When I called front desk on it, they wanted to know where their $ was for next day. They did not care if a/c did not work. When maintenance guy did come he pulled out the filter and it was BLACK. Switched rooms. Instead of helping, they did nothing. Asked for more pillows they gave me the old room key to get them myself. Both rooms were gross. Tile in bathrooms were not completed. The tub was brown. The TV was snowy. When I questioned them on their practices they threatened to throw me out and have the Sheriff remove my items. We eventually left the "motel" by our choice.

Room in general was not too clean, toilette in particular was dirty.
Had to wait 20 min for someone to get to the front desk to check out in the morning, complaints about the room fell on deaf ears.

I spent the weekend here for a Bradenton parade and it was close to everything. The front desk was very nice. The rooms were clean and smelled good even with allowing dogs. The carpet was a little dirty but that is to be expected with animals. The onsite diner was nice. The waitress and cook were extremely nice. Since new ownership has taken place the hotel has improved.

Just an average run of the mill motel. Stayed here as part of my spring training trip. The hotel was clean enough to not be disgusted but wasnt the best place in the world either. There was no breakfast, at least for free, which would have been nice. Nothing really much to say about this place - its not worth going to unless you are stopping over and you get a good rate.

Reading the other reviews, I'm very confused, because this does not seem like the same motel. We got a great walk in rate (with coupon) and were given a lovely newly refurbished room on 1st floor. Room was well equipped with fridge, microwave and spotlessly clean.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and location was great - just across from a huge mall.

Maybe things have improved big time since the previous reviewer?

we didn't expect much from this motel. it seems fair for the price they are charging. but when we were woken up at night by crawling bugs we felt this place had crossed the line. both beds in our room had small brown bugs that were feeding on us. blood marks were on our sheets ---- it's like mosquitos, you smack them unconsciously in your sleep and stain the sheets.

called front desk and had to convince him that there are real bed bugs before he switched us to a different room. it was about 1:30 in the morning and we didn't feel like moving. we made sure sheets were clean, but couldn't sleep that night---obviously still traumatized by the bugs., the sad thing is we tried to go online to figure out what they were but the wi-fi from the hotel didn't work.

checked out first thing next day, front desk were not helpful or apologetic at all. said this is florida, bugs are everywhere---hope those bugs crawl into their beds, maybe they will stop making excuses.

will not go back there. try Rodeway Inn on 1st street, it's much better.

ps: the motel has IHOP restaurant in front, great service, great junk food. highly recommended if you try to indulge yourself... we did!!! just stay somewhere else.

  • Liked — close to the beach for fishing

This is the dirtiest, smellest, most roach infested hotel I had stayed at in my life. The sheets were dirty and when I asked the staff to provide me with clean sheets, the staff was not willing to help and became rude. When I asked to speak to the manager, the young person, who was living in one of the rooms at the hotel and claimed to be the manager, was argumentative. The "manager" was barely able to speak english and after wasting over an hour, I got sheets but they were dirty. I gave up and left. I would never recommed this hotel to anyone.
