This course is right next door to the Pirates training fields in Bradenton, is well taken care of and very reasonable. It is not a long course, only 2 par 5s for a par 70 but it is tight enough to make you work for your score. The greens are large, I was not used to putting on this type of grass, and slow with sand guarding many of them. We played it twice and the first time played 18 in a little over 3 hrs, the next time we were not as fast as there were more people and it took close to 4 1/2 hrs. cut off time was 2:00 pm for lower rates but they were letting us out early if we were ready. There is a lot of brushy areas that can snag a miss hit ball, don't bother going after them! If you are going during spring training time, go early and make a day of it.

Fine enough course, paid $35 for a cart and afternoon golf. Crappy? The cart died 3 holes out in a major storm and we had to walk all the way in---staff did not accommodate the fact that we walked in and they should have at least comped us a couple at the bar. Fine course, none-the-less

Played there recently and will play there again! Nothing special about the facility (old). Course conditions were very good and a fun layout. Back nine is both challenging and picturesque! Don't care for the gas carts or the lack of a true driving range (just 2 nets), but for $45 for 18 with a cart, it's a good deal!

This course was a rewarding surprise. Played early November and it was in the best shape of the three courses played in the area including River Strand. Loved the old school feel! The grounds lie in the middle of the suburbs but you never see a house, hear almost no city noise and are sorrounded by the lush landscape of palms and ferns that make playing in Florida so special. The course is a par 70 so yes, a little easier play than say River Strand or Waterlefe (aka "Watergrief") . There are only two par 5 holes but, plenty of water, a smattering of sand, challenging greens and that lush tropical landscape keep things interesting. Also, it was so relaxing (and fun!!) not to be hounded by a course marshal or played down on by pushy golfers.

One of my favorite courses in the area, well maintained and great holes...prices are excellent too. They also have new carts.
