“Classy and contemporary!”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

This Hampton is a historical building in downtown Bradenton that just last fall reopened after a huge remodel. Upon walking into the lobby it was obvious that this place had been remodeled very well - it was gorgeous! We arrived while the Christmas decorations were still up in late December and everything looked great.

We enjoyed the location and even had a pretty good view of New Year's fireworks from our window on the sixth floor, looking toward downtown and the marina. Parking was not a problem for us, but I am sure it could be difficult to find a place in busier seasons. We tried several good restaurants nearby, especially the Irish pub in downtown, just a few blocks walk with great food and martinis.
Tried the free breakfast one morning and it was pretty good, as hotel breakfasts go. Went to the Sage Biscuit Cafe for New Years brunch and it was delish (10 min drive). The South Florida Museum is right next door and made for an interesting afternoon - loved meeting Snooty the manatee and his friends!

As for the room, could not really ask for better. It was nice, clean, updated and modern - really pretty perfect. I was aware that we would not have a fridge and microwave, as I read the website and review before I book. I understood that the older building prohibited having these conveniences, and while it would have been nice, it was not a huge deal. The only problem that we had was one of our 3 days the housekeeping staff forgot to leave fresh towels. The problem was minor and solved in about 5 minutes with a call to the front desk. I cannot fault them with that type of response. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and would love to stay there in the future if we are ever back in the area.

Room Tip: We liked the high floor facing the city (west).

Restored older hotel has lots of charm, along with all of the required modern features. It's clean, quiet and comfortable. Parking is a bit scarce on site, but not to the point of distraction. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Enjoyed our stay and would reccomend this hotel to others.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us on Trip Advisor. It is always extra special when we have a guest stay and enjoy our brand new hotel and rich history. It is truly is a blessing to be in such close proximity to area attractions. The parking at a downtown hotel can be a challenge. We do offer ample parking all within a 2 block walk. It is very unusual for a downtown hotel to offer complimentary parking, all within such a close proximity. We hope to see you soon.

We recently stayed at the Hotel, everything was excellent! The staff was helpful, courteous, and full of life. Every morning we were greeted with a "good morning" and a "have a great day"! Our room was a corner room, which was great, had a fridge, microwave, couch, chair, desk and plenty of space. There was breakfast everyday that was hot and well stocked. The breakfast area was well kept and staffed with a pleasant man who bussed the tables. The hotel was easy to get to with great restaurants (Pier 22) and attraction's close by, such as Riverwalk. Parking was free and convenient. I had the AAA rate, which when you consider free breakfast and free parking, was a more than fair price, this time of year. I think her name was Leah...the front desk clerk...but just a super representative of your hotel! Keep up the good work and I'll be back!

This historic hotel has been beautifully restored accentuating its original charm and achitecture. The newly renovated guest rooms are immaculate and the management and staff are all very friendly and helpful. Served daily, the hot breakfast was another wonderful attribute of this hotel. The location of the hotel is closely situated to several resauraunts, a marina and a newly constructed family friendly "Riverwalk."

Room Tip: Although most rooms come with a refidgerator, it may be helpful to request an in room refidgerator w...

The hotel is convenient for spring training, although could use some tweaking. Even though the website said that there were refrigerators in every room, there weren't in the rooms with two queen sized beds and that was one of the key factors in booking at this hotel since we drove 14 hours and were there five nights. A small cooler that we had with us didn't cut it. It is pretty unusual for any hotel of this caliber not to have refrigerators. The pool was also very small and was right next to the laundry exhaust; there were. no head boards for the beds. which was uncomfortable; the TV didn't have any on demand movie options; and the lighting was pretty dark in the room. The hotel looked like it was recently redone and it was decorated well. The staff was on the whole very friendly but really didn't address our concerns well. Next trip to Bradenton, we will definitely stay somewhere else because for the nightly rate, the hotel is not a great value.

Thank you for your recent stay and review of the new Hampton Inn & Suites Bradenton Downtown Historic District. We strive to provide above and beyond what our guests expect in amenities, service and product. Due to the historic aspect of the hotel and different sizes of the rooms, we were only permitted to put microwaves and mini-refrigerators in certain room types. Nowhere on the website does it state that all rooms have microwave/refrigerators. Unfortunately, all rooms cannot house the required multi-function unit. Please contact us directly to discuss your disappointment of service, product and amenities, for our ultimate goal is to provide value and top notch service. We very much look forward to hearing from you.

Recently opened so clean, nice rooms and friendly helpful staff. That's why it is now my favorite when on business in the area. The free breakfast is very good and it is ideally situated near restaurants/bars for evening meals and entertainment.
