“A must do.”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

We have done this twice now and its well worth it Shawn is easy mannered and straight to the point, he gives you a quick safety brief of how to use the kayak and a run through of the map.
The sights you see along the way are amazing birds crabs jumping fish an plenty of oppertunity to hop out along the way for a stretch, we loved going under the bridges an through the mangroves and the views from the tower are top dollar. We took a walk once we got to the tower to valentine house although it wasnt open it gave our limbs a rest before the paddle back.
Take water a snack and sunscreen (as advised to us by Shawn)

“Fantastic Way to see Robinson Preserve, and such fun!”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

We did this at the drop of a hat. Looked it up & booked online & got down there 15 mins later. Six of us aged from 23 to 58. We had such a great time & we all enjoyed it so much. Easy sit on Kayaks, doubles & singles. A doddle to paddle & steer despite a bit of wind. We felt totally safe despite limited or no kayaking knowledge. The water is for the most part quite shallow. Negotiating the tree tunnel into the Preserve was fun, and the view of birds & other wildlife stunning. We were able to approach Egrets and so on if quiet. The highlight of the vacation for me! Highly recommended! We will be back.

we have rented a tandem a couple times now - take a picnic, paddle through the mangroves, watch the eagles and fiddler crabs. nice to paddle all the way to Tampa Bay and have a quick swim and paddle back. gorgeous and quiet. the customer service is the best and it is easy to book online. we keep going back whenever in the area.

“Beautiful scenic area+excellent service.”
Reviewed March 9, 2014

4 of us,2 who had never kayaked before took the 2 hour trip in 2 tandem kayaks.Easy, calm, shallow water with beautiful surroundings.Paddle easy or hard your choice.Equipment was in good shape.Shawn, the owner gave us some tips and a map,but finding your way was simple and there are people to ask on the water and land if needed. While we were getting our kayaks and getting started he was hassled by 2 people who had not made reservations. He kept his cool and patiently explained that he would provide equipment as soon as the people ahead of them were taken care of.(duh?)An excellent experience at a reasonable price.

“Pristine Roberts Preserve”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

It was so simple, we called, made a reservation and two days later at promptly 10:00 a.m. we met at the bus on Manatee Road, were set up in our kayaks, given a map of the preserve and we paddled off. The banyon tree tunnel was fascinating. The very best part was the numerous kinds of birds we saw in the trees and along the shore. We even saw a bald eagle with a nest full of eaglets. A wonderful two hours with no computers, phones, etc.
