“Ok, but not great”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Took my mother there. She ordered the steak, it was tough. I had the ribs, they were ok, Service was hit and miss, we were greeted promptly, but things fell apart after that.

“Consistently Good”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

My family usually goes to Lee Roy Selmon's once every two weeks. They have very good food and it is always consistently good. The service is sometimes not the greatest but generally is decent. The Chicken and Waffles entree is great but overpriced.

“Nice atmosphere, bring the guys.”
Reviewed May 1, 2013

I enjoyed my visit to Lee Roy Selmon's. The chicken and waffles was good, though over priced in my opinion. One waffle with three chicken tenders thrown atop it for 14 bucks. And it was the cheapest menu item. Oh well. It was tasty nonetheless. Plenty of tv's on every wall and corner to watch the game, the news, or whatever you want. And a plentiful bar. I'd go here to watch the game, for the nice atmosphere, or to hang out with the guys, but not necessarily for eating out.

“Quick food; average quality”
Reviewed April 17, 2013 via mobile

Comfort food that is quick. Great for a busy day of shopping where you do not want fine dining. Great for kids.

Bread - warm dinner rolls with a thin barbecue butter sauce drizzled on top. This was very good. Appreciate the unique way to serve rolls. :)

Limited menu. Several apps, burgers and pork meals. My group opted for a cheeseburger, pork mac n cheese, and cheeseburger sliders. Overall good taste and cooked well. Mac n cheese had loads if flavor.

Dessert - pecan pie was great but the cinnamon raisen bread pudding was over heated - in a microwave... Steaming hot and not much flavor, couldn't even taste cinnamon.

Hot towels served with the check were a nice touch but should have been delivered after our greasy meals. My group had already left to get the car while I hunted waitress down to get credit card back and sign for the bill so towels went unused.

“First Visit was impressive”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

This was our 1st time at Lee Roy Selmons; we hadn't gone previously as someone had told us it was very pricey. I looked up the menus on line and was surprised to find it was just the opposite, quite reasonable. Four of us dined on a busy Thursday evening. The hostess told us there was a 20-25 minute wait but we were seated within 10 minutes. Our waitress greeted us promptly and asked us if we had been there before. She then proceeded to give is the background of the restaurant (and Lee Roy). We had the buffalo nachos for an app that were big enough for 4 to share and tasty. 2 of us had meatloaf which was a generous portion and very good. The others had a platter for 2 that had chicken, ribs, pulled pork, meatloaf and 2 sides that fed them with some to take home. Service was attentive and friendly.
