As for fan friendliness this park is hard to beat compared to the Yankees and Red Sox. Food is good, especially the frank and beans special. Parking is a little hectic and hard to find but the park is worth any amount you put into it.

Parking isn't the best since the park is in the middle of the city, but it's a great baseball atmosphere. A wonderfully intimate field; you'll feel so close to the players! Get a seat under the shade if you don't like lots of sunshine!

Parking was tight but get there early and walk around and enjoy the park.

Very good sightlines at this park. The employees are very friendly and since the Pirates have been their forever, it has a very familial atmosphere. Reasonable ticket prices, and good concessions.

I have been to just about every spring training stadium in both FL and AZ, and this is easily one of the best. All seats are good ones, though the lack of leg room makes it tough for people to get by you in your row. For day games, get a seat in Sec 1-4 behind the plate, as these are the only shaded sections. Of course since you are in FL and you know its going to be sunny, enjoy a game no matter where you end up. Unlike other stadiums that have parking lots, McKechnie is right in the middle of town, so just watch for those guiding you into their own lot - went twice last week, parked right near entrance on side street, and paid $5 each time. Food is your basic ballpark food, and here it is good and also much less expensive than other FL venues. Same with the tickets - best seat in the house is $20 face value instead of the $40 or so you pay at many other spots. Overall, a great place to see a game!
