We only walked out to the tower and back but it was obvious that this park had a lot to offer particularly if you have a bike or a fair amount of time.

Four of us were looking for kayaking and stumbled upon the Robinson Nature Preserve.
We are from Pennsylvania and first time visitors to the Bradenton Area.
The Reserve in March is getting to burst into Spring. The area is very well marked and well maintained. We saw an osprey and some egrets.
We got the chance to climb the lookout tower. What a view.
There are no kayak rentals there, but we did notice a kayak rental service arrive with rentals to pick up but unfortunately it was too late in the day for us. If we ever get back, we'll know to arrange rentals. Looks like a great area to kayak.
The paths are perfect for biking.
Wish we had this Reserve at home.

Walk, bike, kayak in a preserve. TURN OFF CELL PHONES ! This is a place we borrow from wildlife, this is their home .Take a break from your "connected" life, watch, listen and learn.

Enjoyed a walk through the Preserve on a cloudy cool day - it was very pleasant. Others mentioned seeing more wildlife on different visits, but there were several species of birds to see.

It's a great place to walk, get some great views of the water and see widl life. We saw a group of baby sharks in the estuary, dozens of pretty birds and beautiful trees. We walked about 8 miles and it hardly seems possible. Just a great place to visit and later this year revisit.
