Where to start??? At check in, it was hard to pay attention to the clerk because of the water dripping behind him on his make shift, water leak fix, made up of a laminated piece of paper. First impression, is that this is clearly a motel, that had a roof put over it, and is now being called a hotel. We checked in to our room, sat on the bed, and thought I would fall through...very unconfortable and squeky. Pillows were nice, will say that. So as we were settling in and ready to relax, we were startled by the load yelling and screaming going on out in the main area outside of our room. We jumped to the window to find a hillbilly karate class going on right outside our room. This is not a joke...mullets and ponytails, training about 15 kids and yelling with each karate kick to the pads. Apparently this hotel rents out their space for partys and also karate classes, because later on in the evening we were "delighted" to hear another class as my child was trying to sleep. Oh, and then I get to the birthday party they rented out, they let non guests just rent out the pool and are right outside of the guests rooms so you can hear kids running and playing the games right outside your room....good times!. So the pool was basically unuseable since it was filled with a bunch of kids from a birthday party. So beware if booking on weekends, you wont get the pool. But the best part of the party, is it was right outside of our room!! And since like I said earlier, it is a motel! It is not a hallway in front of you door, just the main concourse. So at 10:03 I called down to ask when the "party" was over, he said 10;00. Well they didnt clear out till well...about 11:15 PM. Lovely! My wife took a bath, and pulled 3 dead flea like bugs from the water, and got bit by something else while taking a bath. Besides that, the price was cheap, and there is a run down gas station across the street!!!! wooo hoo!! Oh and breakfast sucked also....cold sausage gravy and old bisquits, off brand cereal, english muffins, fruit, and old donuts....thats it. Oh, and get new TV's its 2014 for christ sake.
