It makes no difference when I stop by this museum, I always leave with a thankful heart for the experience. When you stop by, remember the first class restaurant and the gift shop well stocked with items not found other places.

“Very nice museum, keep your eye out for special exhibits.”
Reviewed November 1, 2013 via mobile

We've visited the museum in the past to view special exhibits. This time was no exception. Through 1.5.13, 'Objects of Devotion' is definitely worth a look. Pieces carved from alabaster are on loan from the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The informational placards are well done and frame these works in a historical context.

“Small museum - Better than I expected”
Reviewed October 31, 2013

I was in Dayton and stopped by the art museum for a few hours. The museum was amazingly empty so I could spend as much time as I wanted in each exhibit. The European and Asian art exhibits were definitely enjoyable. I felt that the American art was a bit lacking and was filled with too much modern art. I realized that my personal tastes may not like modern art so take this review as it is.

“Always a worthwhile visit”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

We have been members for many years. Management frequently changes the exhibits so visits are always fresh. Entertainment is offered throughout the year in the comfortable auditorium or outdoors in the Shaw Gothic Cloister. Recently their restaurant was significantly upgraded and is now operated by Elite Catering.
The annual family membership cost is moderate.
