Nice property. Grandkids loved the pool. Plenty of dining chices nearby. A Meijer ( think
super walmart) across the street in case you forgot to pack something. I did.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Englewood, Ohio on July 19, 2008. I booked the room on choicehotels.com, after researching other hotels in the area. I chose this hotel because it best suited our needs. We were riding the motorcycle to Arkansas, and required a hotel that had plenty of parking and a valet drop off area. We also wanted a place that was conveniently located, had a smoking room available, an indoor pool, and a comp breakfast. We are fond of Comfort Inns because they usually fulfill our requirements. We are not looking for luxury, just a clean and comfortable stay. Although there were a few wrinkles, this Comfort Inn fit the bill quite nicely.
Location: This Comfort Inn is conveniently located. There is a McDonald’s and a Waffle House Restaurant within feet of the main entrance. Additionally, there is a shopping center within walking distance. The shopping center had a Meiger Supercenter, which is quite similar to a Walmart Supercenter in that it had the usual stuff and a full line of grocery items, including fresh produce. By car, within a mile or two, one could find a Tim Horton’s, and several local restaurants.
Staff: Checking in was easy but rather unfriendly. I don’t know if there was a language barrier or the front desk clerk was just not interested in being welcoming or helpful. He was professional and businesslike, but lacked that extra something that a front desk clerk requires. Additionally, when there were some problems with too many rowdy, unattended kids in the pool, the staff had little interest in enforcing the Pool Rules, except when my hubbie made a second request for the same. Apparently, my request meant nothing.
Building: The hotel had a covered drop off area that was great for keeping the bike out of the rain. It also had an elevator and luggage carts, which made it especially easy for this biker who strips the saddle bags and pack from the bike. It had a small lobby area and an area for the comp breakfast that Comfort Inn is known for. There was a large television that had Fox Cable News on most of the day. Additionally, it had a pool, albeit a small and somewhat dirty one.
Room: We stayed in Room 320. When booking this room, the only smoking room available was a handicapped room. While we are not handicapped, we thought it would be interesting to see how this Comfort Inn accommodated the handicapped. The bathroom had all the proper bars for lifting, however, it would be rather difficult for a handicapped person to get into the tub, as the sides were too high. Additionally, another accommodation included two peep holes, one for a person who is mobile and one at a lower level for someone in a chair. Also, the room had a king bed and had the usual things one would find at a Comfort Inn: blow dryer, iron and ironing board. I was quite surprised to find a safe and even more surprised at check-out to discover there was a $1.00 safe fee. While that is not a huge amount of money, again, since the front desk clerk was not helpful, had I been forewarned, I would not have been surprised. It was clean and the amenities provided included shampoo, lotion and a bar of soap. Neither of us use the amenities provided, as we bring our own. The air conditioner worked well. The shower was a hand held shower and offered two speeds: regular and pulsating. All in all it was an acceptable room due to its comfort and cleanliness.
Comp Breakfast: During this trip, we stayed at a total of 5 Comfort Inns, the comp breakfast at this Comfort Inn ranked second in quantity and quality. There were three types of juice: apple, cranberry and orange. One could also find fresh fruit, Kelloggs brand cereals, assorted muffins, assorted breads, and two types of bagels, raisin and plain, with a large assortment of spreads to don your bread/bagels: peanut butter, jelly, cream cheese, butter and margarine. Naturally, it had the signature self serve waffle maker. There were also some type of egg offered. Still don’t know if they were raw, hard or soft boiled, but since the microwave was close by, I will assume one could cook the egg.
In sum, I would recommend this hotel for what it is....an inexpensive, clean and comfortable place to stay for the short term. Feel free to contact me for any questions.
We stayed at this hotel during our daughter's orientation at the University of Dayton. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The only downside (not really under the staff's control) was that were some noisy guests who woke some of the other guests.
The continental breakfast in the morning was very nice. Our choices included a waffle iron, bagels, muffins, two kinds of cereal, three kinds of juice, and two kinds of coffee. We didn't use the swimming pool, but it looked very nice. There's a McDonalds just across the parking lot, a Waffle House nearby, and a Meijer across the road. There was a computer in the eating area so that guests could have internet access.
Stayed here 1 night, clean, well kept property good free breakfast.
We stayed in the Comfort Inn for four days on our first visit to the Hamvention at Hara Arena. We did not know anything about this hotel and were told it was one of the only one's available as the Hamvention weekend gets booked up a year in advance.
We were not disappointed. This is a very comfortable hotel, the room was nice and airy with a very comfortable armchair. The continental breakfast is excellent with a very good choice but (as with everything in America) it was all sweet stuff!
The staff are very helpful (especially Shelley) who sorted out cabs for us.
Tumbleweeds restaurant opposite the hotel is great for Mexican food and well worth a visit or two.
If we return to the Hamvention we would definitely return to the Comfort Inn and Suites.
We stayed for 6 days over the christmas holidays, the rooms ave very large and comfortable, with love seat sofa. It also has a small but nice enclosed pool that was very warm.
