You'll be transported back in time when you walk into this historical theater. There are a wide range of plays and events held here, so there is sure to be one for you. There is a cocktail lounge in the lobby and restaurants close by.

It's always a joy going to the Victoria Theater in Dayton. The smaller sister of the new and modern Shuster Theater across the street it has a homey atmosphere of a bygone era. The facade has been beautifully restored and the interior acoustics upgraded. Orchestra seating is really orchestra seating, you will be right up next to the stage and might get a neck crimp.

Easy parking and access from the highway, with ample off street parking make it an easy venue to visit. Dining choices are limited, particularly after the shows end but that should not deter you. There are quite a few bars on 3rd street and if you happen to visit during the summer a stroll around some of Dayton's historic downton district is a joy.

The lobby is a bit cramped so don't get there too early. Easy handicapped access and convenient restrooms. We went to the Over the Rhine concert and it was delightful.

This is a terrific venue for Dayton's Broadway show visits and local groups, too! A great downtown gem!

My boyfriend and I went to Dayton, Ohio for a last minute trip to visit his mother. While there, we attended the Victoria Theater's Cool Films Series. The movie featured was The French Connection. Upon entering the theater, I noticed that refreshments (traditional popcorn and soda - which were free) were provided before the show to maintain the character and beauty of the theater. The theater is exquisite with it's dark green arpetd staircase and green marble floors. The green theme is carried into the theater with seating that is green as well. The theater was comfortable as far as temperature. I grew a bit chilly well into viewing the movie, so I had to put my sweater on. The seats were a tad uncomfortable, but it's a historic theater, so I expected that. The sound of the opening organ act and the movie were fine - so the sound system was great. My experience overall was great. I'd recommend attending anything at the theater.

What a gem in the Gem City!! The Dayton Ballet, the Philharmonic all perform there to the delight of everyone! On weekends in the summer they show movies and have at least one theme movie weekend. The Victoria Theatre is not to be missed!! A beautiful old building with rich heritage and from what I understand a ghost!!
