I have been going to the Dayton Convention Center for many different things since I was a kid, and for a smaller city, with really not too much going on anymore - it's a good venue. Clean, nice staff, pretty good security (which is needed), hotel across the street if you need it, and decent parking with indoor walk-ways. I think that the only real drawback to the Dayton Convention Center is the lack of restaurants around the center. Spaghetti Warehouse is withing walking distance, but the food/service there can be hit or miss, and since it is one of the very few downtown Dayton (sit down and be served) restaurants left and near the convention center, it is often crowded.
