I had no complaints, and was very satisfied when I left. Very good food !!! If you are taking maybe some out of town family or guest out to eat & you are trying to impress them with a FANCY, FRILLY place, keep driving !! If you are looking for good food, good service, good prices, & people that care about your experience, well, look no further.
On another note: I just have to ask POLLYANNA36 ( someone who left a very negative comment, that sounded more like a vendeta she has against an employee, but who knows ) you say you went to the restaurant TWICE. If it was soooo bad, why did you come back a second time ?? Just wondering. And you say that they are expensive ?? Good grief girl, just how much cheaper do you expect them to be ?? I mean you can't get much cheaper unless you go for fast food.

“Don't lie to customers”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

We stopped by this restaurant for a late afternoon lunch and was greatly disappointed. It was almost 3 pm and there were no other customers ... should have been a clue. There were awards up for the restaurants but we must have hit a bad day. We put in our order a philly cheese steak sandwich, a drink and it took 25 minutes! We were told they sent someone out to get potatoes for potatoe salad so we would not be able to order this. So why it took so long I really do not know. We speculate it was due to the cook was the one that ran to the store. We asked the waitress but she said no, but right after the person got there we heard them start making our lunch. There was hardly any meat, mostly cheese. 3 (Halfed) red potatoes 2 were warm 1 was still chilled.
If the waitress told us up front the cook was not there and not lied it would have not cost her, her tip. We will not go back or recommend this restaurant.

“A late dinner”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Pauly's had the most interesting menu in town, but the food wasn't spectacular. The linguini with white clam sauce was good, but the shrimp bisque was overcooked and the garlic bread didn't have any garlic on it. Granted, we did get there at almost 9pm, not long before they closed.

“A quiet and simple evening”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

My wife and I joined our friends for a lovely dinner at this small bistro in St. Marys. The food was very good and well presented, and the service was great. Also, a nice beer and wine selection.

“Downtown St Marys Favorite”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Long time since I've eaten here and nothing has changed. It's still small like most of "downtown" St Marys but it offers good food at reasonable prices. Saturday night and there was only 1 couple besides us but that's good when it's last minute, you don't have reservations and you don't want to spend night at restaurant. We both had the almond crusted grouper and it's as good today as when I first tried it 10 years ago except it cost $2.00 more. They have a full selection of pasta entrees but I usually stay with the seafood since you're a block away from water. Of course service was great and freshly prepared food was served hot and fresh.
