En route to Moab we stopped for quick ride. We just wanted to get out of the car and stretch our legs, so we did twice around Rustlers Loop.
If you are a lazy adventurer like me, you can drive past the first parking area, and drive up and over the hill and all the way down to the left to a small parking area at the trail head. There is very limited parking, so you may have to turn back and ride to the trail head but we got lucky. Also, the only bathroom is at the first parking area, so if you need to take care of business first.
The ride is pretty easy, but on the far side there is a stopping point overlooking the river winding down below that is just breathtaking. This type of western scenery is out of this world.
There are also a number of other rides that go up to very difficult and technical, so if you are a killer biker, there is still good riding for you here. It is very different from the other Fruita riding on the other side of the interstate. Honestly I prefer Kokopelli more.
Bring plenty of water and be prepared if it is hot because there is very little shade.

Want a fun beautiful outing? Here you go. This is a great little trail and pretty. Try to hit it early in the morning to avoid the afternoon heat.

Been mtn Biking since 1988(biking since 1960) and am a pretty good rider-only one serious accident (twisted ankle, caught in a sage brush) until last year, last year was 2nd degree shoulder separation in April(3 months no riding), and torn(separated) ligament(over the handlebars on Mary's loop) last September(2x surgical reattachment, hand is still swollen and it will take a year), so my biggest accomplishment on this trip was no injuries.
But the loops are great, awesome views of canyon and Colorado River, choose your distance and skill challenge. great riding area!

We started on the Western Rim and took the Kokopelli trail back to the parking lot. It was a fantastic ride and the view is breathtaking, take your time and enjoy, it is not a race. If it has rained in the past days, it is not recommended to explore.
