Front desk staff was so nice that she gave me family suites. I enjoyed watching election results on 32" flat screen TV. I enjoyed healthy breakfast include eggs, oatmeal and orange jucie. Excellent place to stay before going to Moab, Archies Nathional Park. Perfect place on I-70 to relax.

We spent one night at this hotel as part of a road trip from Arizona to Colorado. It was superb, great value for money and the staff were very friendly.

After a long day of motorcycling, this Comfort Inn was a haven of rest and relaxation. The hotel staff was excellent when we checked in, with Kate correctly summizing we'd be happier with salad and pizza from Pedro's(?) then food from the Chinese joint. (She was so right, and we loved our meal.) She also scored us the perfect room -- top floor, end of the hall, promising the best odds at a quiet night for our weary bones. We so appreciated her attention and effort to make our stay pleasant. The room was clean and well sized and came with all the standard fare. Beds were comfy, showers good, air conditioning solid, wi-fi worked great once we got the password. The only drawback for me was the lack of 24 hr coffee, which sent me out to the Conoco station at 5 AM (we get up early.) More pluses to this location: lovely, extensive park next door for a walk in the evening; espresso, smoothies and ice cream nearby and super easy access off the freeway. We'll definitely do a repeat visit if we're in this area again.

This hotel has excellent customer service. They really are very helpful with whatever you need. The rooms were clean and the indoor pool and jacuzzi were nice. They had a laundry room, which I used, and was grateful for. Also, they have a book of menus for restaurants in town. They also have free internet access. The town has a bit of a bad smell, maybe from the coal manufacturing?

The hotel was OK, however, we were shocked when we discovered that on the reverse side of the general information sheet we received from the hotel clerk was personal information about a previous hotel guest. It appears that the hotel is recycling old reservations and payment sheets with previous guest data on the back. The back of our sheet identified a woman from Connecticut who had stayed at this hotel a week before our arrival. This was brought to the attention of the desk clerk who indicated that it was a mistake and then later said they had experienced some computer problems. Don't believe this!! The computer does not print my information on one side of a page and someone else's information on the other side. Asked to talk to the Manager who was not present. We were told that we could talk to the Manager in the morning. We were given a piece of paper to write down the manager's name, and lo and behold on the other side was personal information about another previous guest from Arizona. Maybe the Privacy Act applies to this? We called the Choice Hotel customer service line immediately and they took the information and we were told that someone would call us the next day. Never received a phone call. The next morning when checking out we were notified that the Manager had called in sick. HA! Be careful out there!!!

FruitaCIGM, General Manager at Comfort Inn Fruita, responded to this reviewResponded June 24, 2008

Our awareness of this incident has allowed us to make immediate changes in our practice of using BLANK paper from the trash to reduce waste of natural resources. We are extremely concerned about our guests’ safety and wellbeing, including safeguarding personal information and data contained on registration forms, reports and other internal documents. We have identified other means of doing our part to recycle and conserve, including recycling newspapers, aluminum cans, etc.

We regret the error made of the guest service associate that was not careful to examine that BOTH sides of the copy paper was blank, nonetheless have discontinued this practice entirely to eliminate any opportunity for such an oversight to occur in the future. We invite any potential guest with concerns to contact our general manager to dispel any suspicion that may remain. It would be folly to ignore such a breach of security, and we have made the prudent and appropriate changes to safeguard guests’ security and identity.
