Many people probably don't visit the Monument when they are in Grand Junction but it is worth a visit. You can just drive it or get out and walk as much as you want. There are also many hikes to chose from. If you start at the Fruita access you can go to the visitors center at the beginning of your visit.

You can drive the lenght of this wonderful landscape, however the driver will have to pull over at some point to enjoy it themself, because the road is so curvy that they'll have to pay attention.

You can enter the NM either via the I70 or via Grand Junction, either way you can admire some great views.
