“Very relaxing”

The Parkway is a wonderful way to stay in the 18th century mindset when travelling the Historic Triangle. The scenery is beautiful.

My only complaint is that some drivers don't seem to understand the concept of the Parkway. It has a posted speed limit of 45MPH, and is not intended for high speed travel. Several times I pulled off to the side just to let tailgaters past, and I was going 50MPH myself.

“A beautiful link between two historic sites”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

I drove from Jamestown to Yorktown on this roadway which is filled with wetlands and birds and animals of all descriptions. There are several Civil War emplacements to visit as well if you have the time.

“A great drive”
Reviewed November 16, 2012

We wanted to experience the landscape of the Williamsburg area and the Parkway was the ticket. It is 23 miles of natural landscape that takes you from Jamestown to Yorktown, the entire Colonial era. A beautiful drive. Lots of great views of the York and James Rivers. Enjoy!

“God's Country”

This is a beautiful parkway, if you go to Williamsburg, make sure you drive the Colonial Parkway. The drive is only 30 miles, but like the Blue Ridge Parkway and Skyline Drive it is worth driving on.
