Must see esp.for history buffs. Very well laid out. Demonstrations were great and employees took time to answer questions. They involved children in presentations.

“wonderful drive”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I have never before reviewed a road, but this one, built by visionaries in the 1930s, is worth it. It's a beautiful, limited access, free road linking Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown. You share the road with bicycles but not with trucks. And there is no urban sprawl. The views and the drive itself are peacful and lovely.

“Great experience”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

The ranger we had did a great job of not only learning a few things but helping us experience and understand what went on in the battlefields. The ranger was great and you could tell she enjoyed her work. It was eery being on the battlefield and feeling what those soldiers went thru. The movie inside was also very good.

“Vacation Week”
Reviewed April 14, 2013

We went here on vacation and enjoyed ourselves, a must for the young and old at heart!! We saw folks dressed in period costumes and there were several different reenactments on each day to leave you mesmerized ! It was well worth the visit and would do it again.

“Can you imagine living here!!!???”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

I get to live here! Walk your dog on DoG (Duke of Gloucester) Street, worship God in a real 18th century building with real 21st century folks, get a unique sense of what it might have been like to live at the time of the Revolution. Puts bricks and mortar, flesh and blood to dusty history.
