“Expected more from a winery restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2012

Since there are not many places to eat in Willcox, we thought we would try this winery restaurant, because usually winery restaurants are a bit upscale, have a nice ambience and good interesting food. However, this restaurant was not up to par. The dinner menu was very limited, the atmosphere and decor were not upscale in any sense of the word, and the only alcohol they serve is wine. I drink wine, my husband does not, but all other winery restaurants we have been to also serve at least beer. This restaurant needs to acknowledge that people may want to eat in their restaurant for reasons other than drinking their wine.

“Service, What Service?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 6, 2012

I'd like to comment on the food, but never got a chance to eat any. We stopped here after seeing on the "Wine Tasting" signs around Willcox.

After walking in on a Saturday afternoon, we wandered aimlessly through the bar/gift shop area. There was a bartender on duty, but she only glanced at us briefly, as she was engaged in a deep conversation with two friends at the bar. Lots of laughing and joking, but not much service. We saw a table of people eating, but after 10 minutes of no greeting, no "can I help you", no offer of wine, cheese, or anything, we left.

Won't be back unless I see a under new ownership sign.

“Jewel in Willcox”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2012

I have traveled around the United States and have eaten at hundreds of restaurants and I was a little hesitant about going to a restaurant in this small community but the hotel manager I was staying recommended that I go out to Coronado Vineyards. And I have to say everything from service to atmosphere and finally the food was top notch. My wife and I were so impressed we went back the next night. My wife had the pistachio salmon and I had the ribeye and both were cooked to perfection, but the one thing that impressed us was the side dishes of risotto and mashed potatoes. Service was timed perfectly and very friendly. The second night we did a wine tasting and had bar appetizers. Even though, we did not leave hungry the steak bruschetta and eggplant bruschetta were excellent and the nosh and cheese which is a cheese and cracker plate had some interesting and varied cheeses my favorite was the red pesto gouda. The wine was also very good but what a gem of a place and thank god I listen to the hotel manager. We will be back
