Loved the outdoor experience. Family loved the home feel vs a hotel. Close to smokin joes bbq, arbuckle wilderness, and turner falls. Would do it again.
We booked the Tree House Hideaway in January when we found out our infant granddaughter would be attending our family reunion at the Chickasaw National Park in Sulphur. We didn't want to camp with her because she's so little.
What a great decision.
From the moment we walked in the cabin, it was obvious we'd made a great choice. The cabin was perfect for the six of us plus the infant. When severe weather moved in, we were even more happy to be in the cabin instead of out at the park.
If you're heading over to the Guy Sandy Boat Ramp area, you are less than five minutes away at this cabin. The park is closer to twenty minutes away.
The family that owns the cabin actually seems to stay there between vacation rentals, but that added to the cabin's charm.
We cooked out on the deck our last night there and enjoyed the beautiful sunset.
If you book the cabin, bring some citronella if you want to sit out on the deck at sunset or sunrise. Now that it's raining again, the mosquitos are everywhere.
If we book a cabin again, I'll definitely return to the Treehouse. I could also see using the treehouse for a writer's retreat or any kind of retreat where peace and quiet is required.
