“Civil war history”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

There is a nice visitors center at this military park. It is second only to Gettysburg in the number of casualities during the civil war. There are so many monuments scatters throughout the property. We were able to use our cell phone for a detailed narrative of the battle. Really nice for civil war buffs. It is a beautiful military park that gives you an idea of how many battles and casualities there were.

“Huge!”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

We love to visit battlefields and historical sites and this is wonderful. It's very informative and quite large. Bring your walking shoes, as there is much ground to cover. And you can almost smell the gunpowder.

Very large battlefield. I arrived late in the day so was unable to visit visitor center but did walk around a bit and drive part of the battlefield. Well worth a visit!

Staff is very friendly. This is a great place to take a bike tour through the battlefields. Don't forget to take in Point Park on Lookout Mtn as well.

Visited during the 150th anniversary of battle. Staff were very helpful. The visitor center movie is excellent. There were a number of ranger led activities.
