“History at its best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is definitely the place to come if you are interested in Civil War history. The film at the visitor center is excellent as well as the gun collection. It is a moving experience which helps you understand the battles that went on in the area. A good history lesson for adults as well as youngsters.

Worth the stop for the Fuller Gun Collection alone. What a remarkable place just chocked full of history. A truly memorable experience.

“Beautiful place to explore”

We run and bike here every weekend. It's nice and flat. They hold several events throughout the year like the Chick Chase in the spring and the Half Marathon in the fall. The visitors center has one of the largest gun collections I have ever seen and is execellent. Facilities include a movie, museum, and gift store. If you love the outdoors you need to see this. Deer are brazen in the morning.

“Really enjoyed this”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 31, 2013

I think the highlight of our tour was the firearms demonstration. Never realized all that went into preparing a flintlock rifle to shoot a single round. Can't imagine what it would have taken to use it in battle during the Civil War. Nice Visitors Center.

“AWESOME”

If you love American history this is a must see if you can fit it in .. no way it can be accomplished in a day so take two or three if possible .. the many battles that were fought are all described and mapped out in good detail .. you will enjoy the lessons and wonder how these ancestors actually made it through any of these tough battles ..
