Our lunches (kung pao w/ chicken & chow main w/ chicken), served on the outdoor patio, were great, as were the surroundings and the waiter. Immediately after seating us, he brought water for our dog without our asking. From the 5 items on the dog menu, she had the lamb bowl, and really liked it. The people menu lets you choose the meal & the protein, so there’s lots of flexibility in your choice.
If you go, there’s a free parking lot behind the restaurant, between Oak & Palm; enter it from North Oak Street. Look for the doorway at the Palm St end of the parking lot, and then down the steps to the restaurant (34 N Palm St, Ventura, CA/ Google map / satellite view).
After lunch, it’s a half-block walk to Main Street, where there are lots of things to see & do (bought a Hawaiian shirt for $2 at the thrift store).
