We went by to see the Sunken Garden at the Courthouse because of a wedding thats coming up to be held there.

Boy.....we were so impressed. It is so gorgeous, grounds were huge and green and lush.

Can't wait to see the wedding there.

Courthouse itself was so pretty inside, floors were gorgeous and there were tourists by the busload so it must have a good reputation for overall beauty. More than most maybe.

If you want to appreciate true neo-classical architecture in quintessential California style, head over to one of the state's most impressive landmark structures. Keeping with the period and the missions of California, Ventura City Hall is truly Mission Quintessential!

Ventura City Hall is pretty impressive for a California city. I like the architecture. The monks' faces adorning the facade are charming. Take the time to venture inside, as the interior is also worth a look.

Check out the wonderful art displays on the second floor, the Italian marble in the foyer, the statute of St. Bonaventura out front, and the original Perry Mason courtroom.

Gorgeous, historic building that's been beautifully restored. Well worth a visit, even if you only have time for photos of the exterior. Local artist's works are displayed inside, in a constantly changing exhibit. If the building is open, be sure to check out the council chambers and the view to the ocean down California St.
