I organised a group visit with Michael via phone/email. He was easy to work with and was very gracious when we turned up on the day, especially since we had reduced in number. He was busy working out in the fields, but came over to say hello and give us some background on the winery, introduced us to the dogs, showed us the picnic tables he had set out with tablecloths, and let us know that Claudia was waiting in the tasting room for us when we were ready.
Claudia was very informative and easy to work with, a great sense of humour, and helped us all understand the wine tasting process. Some of us were new to it and needed a little more explanation than the rest and she was very helpful. The wines were fantastic. Quite a few of us bought bottles to take home, especially one of the reds (2nd last on the list can't remember the name of it).
The area is beautiful, with a lawn and picnic tables, or a deck with tables and chairs. The dogs are very friendly and want to play ball with you. Jasper the disabled dog was a joy to watch as he rolled on his back in the sunshine. Dog people are always kind hearted, and Michael and his co-workers are definitely dog people. Running a great winery, making great wine, and sharing their special place in the world with others. Visit. You will have a great experience!
