“Loved the atmosphere!”
Reviewed March 2, 2013

We dined here for breakfast. The food was good, nothing to write home about.. the atmosphere was great! Wasnt your averaage, run of the mill place. I would like to go back for lunch or dinner, as the menu looked interesting. The food was served quickly and hot. Service was average. They do stay open late.

“Totally satisfied”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Great atmosphere. Have only been to this restaurant once but the experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Had fish tacos that were delicious. Prices are a little steep but portions were large. Service was good and I will return

“Repeat customer”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

I typically go to whatever restaurant that is new, I rarely go back, but Star City was worth going back to. Their menu has unusual and tasty dishes, and I would crawl all the way there just to eat their fries. Their staff is attentive and fun.

“Amazing 24/6 spot in El Paso”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Star City is a very cool and fun place to eat. It has a creative menu with really interesting and well-executed items drawing from El Paso's place along the U.S.-Mexico border. I have enjoyed the pork belly tacos, fish tacos, menudo, and a number of other selections-- none of which have disappointed. In addition, the side items (like the chipotle rice) add so much texture and flavor to the meal.

While the food alone makes this place a must-try for anyone in El Paso, the ambience is what really make Star City special. The art on the walls and the music are really cool and eclectic, but never feel forced or contrived. The place isn't "trying too hard," but rather is comfortable with a wide-ranging aesthetic that works well. The booths and tables are comfortable and I also like the long community table in the center of the restaurant. It's an inviting and relaxed atmosphere.

The quality of the food and ambience are matched by the service. I have come here to eat with friends, but have also dropped in for coffee when I was working on a paper and wanted a change of venue. The staff were always very welcoming and no one ever appeared "bummed out" when I only wanted coffee and the churro fries. Moreover, with larger parties there was never any hesitation to let us split the check even at 3 o'clock in the morning!

Whether its morning, afternoon, dinnertime, or late night the quality of food and service is consistent throughout. It's not something that I can say is common at all 24-hour diners. Star City is really one of the coolest, new places to eat in El Paso and I plan on dropping in regularly throughout the semester.

I've eaten here four times so far, on three occasions in groups ranging between 3 and six people, and once by myself.
