“!Viva-licious!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

High action performance in a breezy little canyon setting with the mountain as a backdrop. Tells the story of 6 flags over Texas and trail of the "Pass to the North".

“A special place nestled in McKelligan Canyon on the East side of the Franklins”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 9, 2012

This ampitheater is uphill on the East side of the Franklin Mountains and accessible by a narrow paved road, made safe because you cannot go fast, by either motorcar or bicycle. (I've done both) on performance nights, motor vehicles are the mode of choice, and it is crowded. However, it is extremely well-worth going to, a rich re-enacting of 400 years of the regions development, full of color, song, dance, and good eats if you buy the correct ticket. Very similar to the ampitheater of San DiegoCA, there is no interruption of the play due to air traffic. This exquisite theatre in the Franklins is not on the flyway, but it is on the bestway for live action over the centuries! Highly recommended!

“Nice Evening”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

If it's a beautiful evening and you haven't been before, Viva is something you should see. However, it has declined in quality over the years to include, among other things, some poorly done comedy. Originally the emphasis was on the beauty of the Canyon and a history of the region. Now, in an attempt to change it up, they've included a "story" which includes comedy which, to me, was sort of slap-stick.

We love to take out-of-towners to this special El Paso attraction. It's always a hit with our guests.
