We wanted to take the Scenic Drive but it was closed to traffic on a Sunday so we took the Tram. $8 for a 4 min. ride to a concrete platform enclosed by wire fence. Good views but cold and very windy. Can't walk around on top of Mt. Take the Rim Road for good views free of charge and continue onto Scenic Drive if it is open.

The park is only open to the public Friday Saturday and Sunday!!! Would have been great but we were bummed out.

This is a must go to in El Paso. Oversees three states and 2 countries. A definite for a city visit.

McKelligon Canyon is beautiful and the Tram takes you up to see the world, at least our little piece of it. Located in the middle of the City, its easy to get to. My favorite view is from the Pavilion/Amplitheater at dusk and just after dark. The city lights are beautiful.

The Parks department did a great job renovating the tramway. A short ride to top of the mountain is worth the million dollar views. You literally can see for ever in all directions. I take out of town clients to top of mountain 2-3 times a year so they can get panoramic view of El Paso, Juarez Mexico and New Mexico. Usually I hike to top of mountain for exercise but the tramway is by far much easier. The tramway hosts are always very nice and explain the area to you on the way up. Make sure to go on a clear day to get the best views. I would recommend for anyone who is visiting El Paso or even for residents who have not made the trip yet.
