Studio 6 El Paso East

This was my 1st bad experience with Studio 6. There were a lot of people hanging out at night and beer cans and bottles in the parking lot. The attendant was nice but the room we were in was old, had flies and the door handle was broken, plus there was a stain on the bed cover. I would not recommend staying here if you have young kids. If I was by myself I would have stayed because I can handle a little bit more but I was not going to let my family stay the night when there were so many people hanging out at night. They may not hang out every night, but they did when we were there. They gladly refunded our money when we decided not to stay which was a plus for service.

I stayed there from August 2004 until February 1 2005. It was great. The price was very reasonable. They cleaned well. Laundry was clean and always worked. Desk clerks were friendly. I had a very good experience and recommend it to incoming new employees all the time.

The Studio 6 in El Paso is NOT the place you want to stay at while visiting. After a long drive, we arrived at the hotel to an empty front desk at 9:00 pm. The room itself was okay, nothing too fancy, and on the small side. Unfortunately as soon as we got to our room I used the bathroom and the handle fell off the toilet. I immediately called the Front Desk who did not pick up. I then walked over to the Front Desk and called the "After Hours Number" which was posted on the door. Somebody picked up the after hours number and I was told that somebody would be right over. I'm not sure why, but they sent over a security guard who after inspecting our broken toilet showed us how to manually flush our toilet without the handle by sticking our hands in the tank. I told the security guard that this solution was unacceptable and that we would need another alternative immediately. He then told me that all that could be done would be to wait until the morning when maintanence would arrive. However, that would also not work because we were checking out the following morning and in the meantime needed a working toilet. The security guard sort of just shrugged us off. I was eventually able to get ahold of a hotel manager who smuggly apologized for the problem and also said that nothing, not even a room change, could be done till morning. I let her know that I found the broken toilet disgusitng and unacceptable and that I expected to be compensated. In the morning I spoke with the manager in person who offered to give me one free night in the same room and also to fix the toilet. I accepted but was sorely disappointed with the poor service and the faulty room I was placed in. There are many, many better hotels to stay at in the El Paso area. Don't make the same mistake I made by staying at the Studio 6.

Dont bother making prior online reservations with studio 6. After driving 600 miles ready to check in our reserved room they tell us there are no rooms available and send you to another motel 6 across the road. Finding out later by the other motel 6 that this is a common practice with studio 6. They reserve rooms left and right but when it comes down to the customers checking in they never have the reserved rooms available and customers are forced to search for another hotel. The good thing was that at least the second hotel had rooms available, if not we would of been driving around at night with our tired kids in the car looking for a hotel to stay in. This is a terrible way to run a business. I would never recommend studio 6 in el paso texas to anyone, actually I would make sure I tell people not to stay there.
