A few really cool features, mostly just some interesting history about the area. Not very extensive though. But hey, it's free!

**Has a couple interactive exhibits for kids that can be neat.

“Very Nice”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

NIce area, lots of exhibits to see and a good flow. The museum is close to the Museum of Art so it's a great way to spend a couple of hours of your day. El Paso has so much history however it's not properly marketed by it's city leaders. This however is still an informational and really nice museum to visit.

“FREE! The second floor is what makes this museum”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

The second floor is what makes this museum worth going to. For a tourist this museum is great. You learn so much from El Paso. The first floor is dedicated to Mexico. I love Mandy the Mule. There are scheduled times where he give gives you a lesson on how things used to be for him in El Paso. Then you move to more traditional Mexican ways. You learn about there traditions as well as santeria and other forms of religion and medicinal plants. You can after that you can take the stairs or an elevator to the second floor and you learn everything about El Paso from the Ice Age (which I though was interesting considering how christian Mexico is) to modern day El Paso. It has only been a desert for the last 200 years . You learn about the El Paso survived through the Spaniards taking over to civil war.

Free. two floors of El Paso History which was something to do to avoid heat and learn about the area. Worth spending a little time to visit.

“Nice effort, but too politically correct.”
Reviewed May 23, 2012

This place should be in Mexico. The main concept here is that only Mexican's have contributed to the area. They show maps that demonstrate how land was taken from Mexico. They say nothing about the land being empty when the USA purchased it. Lots of Mexican stuff but as far as I am concern this place says almost nothing about what contribution Americans have made to this area.
