The Whole Hogg Barbeque restaurant in Little Rock Arkansas is not to be missed. The food is excellent--meat, sauce and sides. The ambiance is basic--you stand in line to order, then they call your number, you pick up the food and take it to a table. Sauces are on the table--and are clearly labeled and described.
The food is more than good. They offer beef brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken and ribs. They also sell take out.
With your meat, you get two sides and a soft roll. The sides we ordered were cole slaw, potato salad and beans. All were tasty. Your food was served on a regular plate, not paper. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available--the wine comes in little bottles, and the beer is bottled. I've eaten in a lot of barbeque places in the south, and this is one of the best. The meat is well seasoned, the sauces are tasty and there is a sauce for every taste. None of them taste like OPen Pit. They are variations on traditional Southern Sauces.
One caveat--almost nothing is open in Little Rock on Sunday--in the restaurant area. So, if you want to enjoy barbeque, go on Friday or Saturday night.

Best pulled pork in the city. Rib portions have been a bit stingy in the past. Stick to the pulled pork and try all of the available sauces. The iced tea is quite good here as well.
