This place is AWESOME! You know they have good food when people are lined up in front before they even open. Myself and my 2 young daughters both loved it. Great food, fast & friendly service. What more can you ask for!

The atmosphere is the most interesting. Billy bass fish on wall with "sponsors" from years of collections. Personal photos of fisherman, fish caught, real rods and reels, etc. You stand in line to place order. Order gets written up on dry erase board and cooks follow. You pay, get your own drinks and find your own table. You pick up food when the buzzer goes off. We ate there two lunches on a weekend. Both days packed. Allow a good 20 minutes to order if the line starts at the front door. I saw people team it while one orders and the other claims a table. Very busy, hopping place. People on Sunday after church as well as tourists. Good fish and seafood. Loved the combo basket with half boiled shrimp and oysters. Boiled spinach and grilled squash made it a very healthy meal. Definitely worth a visit.

We lucked into the Flying Fish Restaurant & were drawn to it because the line to get in was out the door. While waiting with the crowd, we learned about the menu & what other patrons enjoyed eating there. The wait was only about 30 minutes & we ordered the boned trout which came with rice & beans and an assortment of grilled vegetables. The food was fresh and delicious as well as healthy. Of course, the place was packed, but we did find a good, comfortable booth to have our meal. Would recommend this place & wish we had one in our town.

Just happened to be passing through on our way to Marshall, Texas. The Flying Fish was recommended by our hotel and while standing in line to order, met a couple from Arkansas that said the food was great - they always eat here when they're in Little Rock. We got fish tacos and fried oysters. Oysters were some of the best I have ever had. Lots of atmosphere and plenty of seats once you order.

Between visits to Central HS and the Clinton Library, we had lunch at Flying Fish of Little Rock. This was a recommendation from the VERY helpful gentleman at the N. Little Rock Visitor Center. We were not disappointed. All kinds of fish and seafood were available with a New Orleans twist (gumbo and jumbalaya as well), the food was fresh, well prepared and just flat-out tasty. We got there on Saturday at the lunch rush - the line was out the door - but got to the counter pretty quickly. They are quite efficient. Maybe we were just in the mood for this, but it hit the spot. We had shrimp and catfish, finished everything and started looking on other tables to see if anyone had left anything (just kidding). We also saw that, upon leaving, the line was gone; a suggestion might be to hit this place during down times, and get served VERY quickly.
